Registered Exam Centres

Personal data is normally collected and uploaded on behalf of candidates by Registered Exam Centres (‘RECs’) onto Ƶ’s online booking platform, Ƶ Online.

RECs may also collect candidates’ personal data for their own purposes – for example, if they also provide teaching.

RECs and Ƶ are independent data controllers under data protection legislation – a status that was already reflected in our agreements with centres that pre-date 25 May 2018 (the date the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 came into effect) and is reflected in centre agreements issued after that date.

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) policy for SELT centres

This policy outlines why we use CCTV, how we will use CCTV and how we will process data recorded by CCTV cameras to ensure we are compliant with data protection law and best practice.
